Modern full frame cinema zooms have been quite rare since the rising of full frame cinema cameras.
Chinese company Chiopt decided to take the matter in their own hands and paved the way for a new generation of lens companies. Their first iteration is the Chiopt Extreme 28-85 t3.2 Full Frame cinema Zoom.

Beautifully presented and well machined, the lens offers everything modern cinematographers want in a zoom lens : Proper gearing for zoom, focus and iris, 114mm OD for easy mattebox compatibility, swappable PL - EF mounts and shims for backfocus, and of course, parfocal design.

Literally combining 4 lenses into 1, the Extreme zoom is a massive piece of a lens that offers a convenient range with a decently fast t3.2 aperture. Pleasing flares, almost no breathing throughout the zoom range and decent close focus, it’s got everything!
